Dream Vacations recently hosted the first-ever Charleston Cruise and Travel Show, to help the Lowcountry get into vacation mode. Billed as “not your average travel show” this event was unlike any other!
To help attendees get the most immersive vacation experience possible, the show featured a wide range of family-friendly activities and entertainment. From reality TV stars like Shep Rose and Captain Lee to local mascots like Cool Ray the Sting Ray and Charlie T. Riverdog, there were plenty of photo opportunities! Erik the Pirate and his parrot Captain Bob were hard at work creating balloon masterpieces in the family fun zone, while guests were crafting tasty “beach in a bottle” treats! Across the room was quite the party, where a silent disco, much like the ones featured onboard many cruise ship clubs, had people dancing to the beat of their own drums. Later in the evening, Dream Vacations turned up the volume with a performance by 7-time Grammy Award winning artist Wyatt Durrette and Levi Lowrey of Yesterday’s Wine.
On vacation, every hour is happy hour, and local influencers, The Cocktail Bandits, were demonstrating their mixology skills to guests and showcasing featured cruise line drinks! While future travelers were sipping on cocktails, they were also tasting some of the amazing culinary creations that can be found on board a cruise. Hourly giveaways of TUMI bags and Swarovski bracelets were awarded to lucky ticket holders, and guests scoured the show using the GooseChase scavenger hunt app for a chance to win more great prizes including $2,500 in vacation cash!
The show was a colorful array of vacation inspiration, cruise line, and resort information, games, and excitement. Just like on a vacation, there truly was something that would interest everyone. And the best part? If you were inspired by the excitement of the show you could book your vacation with local Dream Vacations Vacation Specialists who were ready to make your dreams come true! With exclusive offers, special deals, and destination expertise, there was no better time to “seas the day” and make a dream vacation a reality.
